We are pleased to welcome Jacky Yuen (阮文略) to Ayesda Bio as Scientific Advisor and Researcher. Jacky brings a rare combination of academic depth and communication craft — a PhD in Biochemistry, a long track record as a biomedical educator and columnist, and a working life that bridges science, literature, and education.

A Scientist Who Communicates

Jacky's career sits at the intersection of laboratory science and public understanding. As a biomedical educator he has worked extensively in interdisciplinary knowledge transfer, translating research between specialist communities and the wider readership. As a columnist and writer he draws on a dual identity as scientist and poet, which gives his work an unusual range — technical rigour paired with the literary attention to detail that careful science writing requires.

That combination is increasingly valuable in life-sciences research, where the most useful insights often come from listening carefully, framing questions well, and turning specialist evidence into language that decision-makers can act on.

What This Means for Our Clients

In his role at Ayesda Bio, Jacky will contribute across both Ayesda Connect and Ayesda Avrion. On the research side, he supports qualitative moderation and the interpretation of complex life-sciences material — particularly where the subject matter spans biochemistry, education, and emerging biomedical fields. On the advisory side, he brings scientific counsel to projects that benefit from a deeper academic grounding, and adds another voice to our growing scientific advisory bench.

His arrival also strengthens our reach into Greater China and the wider Asian life-sciences community — a region of rapidly expanding biotech and clinical-research activity.

Jacky says: "Good science communication doesn't dilute the science — it makes it usable. I'm looking forward to working with the Ayesda Bio team and our clients to bring both academic depth and clear, careful interpretation to the work."
